Note: A new SGAC must be submitted for every trip to Singapore — it is valid for single entry only. There is no on-site submission option. Complete it online before leaving for the airport.

What you need to submit the SGAC

Before starting your SGAC, have ready:

  • Valid US passport (passport number, expiry date, date of birth)
  • Incoming flight number and scheduled arrival date in Singapore
  • Accommodation address for your first night (hotel name and address, or host address)
  • Health declaration information (standard questions about symptoms and recent travel to yellow fever countries)
  • Valid email address to receive your e-Pass confirmation

Step-by-step: submitting the Singapore Arrival Card

  1. 1

Go to eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard or download the MyICA Mobile app (iOS or Android) within 3 days of your arrival date.

  2. 2

Select "Foreign Visitor" and log in or register with your email address.

  3. 3

Enter your passport details exactly as they appear on your US passport.

  4. 4

Enter your flight number and scheduled arrival date in Singapore.

  5. 5

Enter your accommodation address for your first night.

  6. 6

Complete the health declaration — answer questions about any symptoms and recent travel to yellow fever risk countries.

  7. 7

Review all information and submit. You will receive a confirmation email with your e-Pass reference.

  8. 8

Save the confirmation email or QR code on your phone. Present it at check-in and at Singapore immigration on arrival.

What happens at Changi Airport

US citizens who have submitted the SGAC and hold a biometric passport can use the automated clearance lanes at Changi Airport.

Automated clearance process:

  • Proceed to the automated gates (242 lanes available across Changi terminals)
  • Scan your passport at the gate
  • The system reads your biometric data (iris, face, fingerprint) — on your first visit, biometrics are enrolled during the process
  • The gate opens and you proceed through immigration clearance
  • You will not receive a physical stamp in your passport — your entry is recorded electronically as an e-Pass sent to your email

If you prefer a physical stamp or cannot use the automated gates, join the staffed immigration counter instead.

Yellow fever certificate — when US citizens need it

Singapore requires a yellow fever vaccination certificate from travelers arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. For most US citizens traveling directly from the US or from other Asian countries, this does not apply. However, if your itinerary includes travel through or from Sub-Saharan Africa or South America within the 6 days before arriving in Singapore, check the Singapore ICA yellow fever country list and carry your vaccination certificate if required.
