What information you need to complete the TDAC

Before starting your TDAC, have the following ready:

  • Valid US passport (passport number, expiry date, date of birth)
  • Incoming flight number and scheduled arrival date
  • Accommodation address in Thailand for your first night (hotel name and address, or host address)
  • Purpose of visit (tourism, business, transit, etc.)
  • Contact details (email address for confirmation)

Step-by-step: completing the Thailand Digital Arrival Card

  1. 1

Go to the official Thai government TDAC portal within 72 hours before your flight to Thailand. Search for "Thailand Digital Arrival Card official" and use only the .go.th government domain.

  2. 2

Create an account or log in if you have completed a TDAC before.

  3. 3

Enter your passport details exactly as they appear on your passport — any mismatch can cause issues at immigration.

  4. 4

Enter your flight number, arrival airport, and scheduled arrival date.

  5. 5

Enter your accommodation address for your first night in Thailand. If staying with a friend, enter their address.

  6. 6

    Select your purpose of visit.

  7. 7

Review all information and submit. You will receive a confirmation email with a QR code.

  8. 8

Save the QR code on your phone or print it. Present it at immigration on arrival in Thailand.

Common mistakes to avoid

Using a third-party paid website

Multiple websites charge USD 10–20 to complete the TDAC on your behalf. The official TDAC is free. If a website asks for payment, leave immediately and use the official government portal.

Completing it too early

The TDAC must be completed within 72 hours before arrival. If you complete it more than 72 hours in advance, you will need to do it again.

Passport number mismatch

Enter your passport number exactly as it appears — including leading zeros if applicable. A mismatch between your TDAC and passport can cause delays at immigration.

No accommodation address

You must enter a specific address for your first night. "Will book on arrival" is not accepted. If you genuinely have not booked yet, enter a hotel name and address as a placeholder and update if needed — immigration checks vary.
